I hope you enjoy these and I would really appreciate your spreading the word. My stories are spread by word-of-mouth so this is the way that others might also see them.

It is a good sign that many institutions are making changes to allow for easy access for wheelchairs that don’t require entering through loading docks and store rooms. Entering through a back entrance can add a bit to much of a sense of adventure to an outing.

This strip was published previously as “Wheel Tales of We’ll Make Cents” but we thought it would be better to publish more independently — hence the change in venue and name.

We were originally published in “We’ll Make Cents“. They are an organization that helps support a number of not-for-profit causes which might get overlooked. Why not pop over and give them a look

There’s a new exhibit of dinosaur bones this month!

I hope you enjoy this reprise of an earlier “Wheel Tales of Willow City” story. I thought I’d post it this Easter Sunday, in part to take a break for Easter Week. I know not all of my readers are Christian, but many other Faiths have their own celebrations at this time of the year. I wish you all a Blessed Sunday. I wish you a Blessed Sunday even if you don’t follow any structured spiritual path.

Donations are actually hard to come by for Charities and other not-for-profit organizations. Consider what you might be able to donate. It might be a good time to clean that closet, attic, cellar, shed, or garage! You might have someone else’s next treasured possession. Perhaps you don’t live near Auckland and We’ll Make Cents, but there are people in need everywhere!

Hello Mr R, Uellow!

How was your bus-ride today?

It was fine, but when did having a smart-phone become a disability?

It was fine, but when did having a smart-phone become a disability?

I hope you enjoy these and I would really appreciate your spreading the word. My stories are spread by word-of-mouth so this is the way that others might also see them.

Nearly every time I get on the bus, the front seats are all taken by folks either talking on, watching movies or TV on, or playing games on smart phones or tablets. Here if not other places the front seats are reserved for the disabled, elderly, or pregnant riders. There are signs up telling able-bodied folks to give up these seats to those in need. (Not just a warning but a regulation.) Some of them might have an invisible handicap, but I am sure that most are just feeling that their use of their gizmo supersedes that of those who need those seats. (I have even watched some feign sleep to avoid eye contact.)

Is using a smart-phone or tablet now an accepted disability? I have seen them sitting oblivious to someone trying to juggle their cane while trying to hold their balance on the moving bus. Bus drivers are often too busy on a crowded bus to tell the rude riders to give up their seats. But some will come right out and let the riders know that the bus won’t be leaving until a seat is given up to the intended disabled, elderly, or pregnant rider. Too often it is an elderly person who gives up their seat.
