The Monarchy Strikes Back! — Space Trek – Episode 7

Welcome to the continuing voyages in Space Trek! I hope you enjoy this bit of Science Fiction Farce and Satire.

This serial takes off where “A New Omen” left off.

The Thunderball 2XL, her crew, Zed, and Princess Dee of Alderbean has landed on the moon Cavatar in the Cava System. They have heard from the Geepoks of Monosaurus that the inhabitants of Cavatar, another moon of the Cava system, are endangered by the Monarchy and are in need of help.

Jeff Horoscope, Doctor Neptune, Princess Dee and Zed on a quest to help the inhabitants of another moon in the Cava system — Cavatar. The plan, to disrupt the strip-mining of Upsydaisium on that moon.

Can they stop that mining and then succeed in driving the Monarchy out of the Cava system?

First they have to find the Cavatarians.

I hope you’re enjoying this serial. Please let me know what you think and consider liking the post, retweeting it, favouring it, or generally sharing it around. It is the only way it will be seen! (I can really use the publicity and encouragement.)

Thank you!

No News Today (Nov 20 2016)

Gnorman 2bHi!

Sorry, but there’s no cartoon today. I had some setbacks at home today and couldn’t work on a strip today. I plan on being back on schedule for next weekend. (November 26 & 27)

As to the setbacks, an important part of my office furniture broke down on me and I’ll have to see about replacing it, or at least removing it.

If I have a chance, I’ll try publish something during the week.

ForesterIn the meantime, here are the contents pages for the cartoons I publish here:

Upsetting — Wheel Tales of Willow City

upsetting-00 upsetting-01 upsetting-02 upsetting-03 upsetting-04 upsetting-05 upsetting-06 upsetting-07 upsetting-08 upsetting-09 upsetting-10I keep hearing about the polls for elections and what the percentages are. I see the numbers and having had a bit of formal education in statistics and probability understand what they are talking about. I’ll watch them predict one outcome or the other when there are only one or two percent difference between the two choices and I’ll think, “this could go either way.” Then after the votes are tallied I’ll hear them talking about the upset. This is even while the results are saying the two people running are 5 percent apart… or less.

It makes me wonder if the definition of “an upset” has changed.

(Note, I understand that the final results might be very different, but before they are in, while the results were still within 5%, they call it an upset. Of course the outcome of a political election can be very different from the popular vote.)

I hope you enjoy these and I would really appreciate your spreading the word. My stories are spread by word-of-mouth so this is the way that others might also see them.

Thank you!

Lest We Forget

Take a Moment to Remember

remembrance-day-2016This is a day to remember all those who have made sacrifice for others. Take a moment today to remember those who went to war — some never to return, others returning whole or broken; both inside or out. Remember too, in addition to the soldiers, the peace keepers, the first responders and others that keep us safe. Also remember their parents, grandparents, spouses, siblings, children, grandchildren, and all who loved them and miss them.

We might agree or disagree with the wars that have happened, but regardless of that soldiers place their lives on the line for us.

Let us not forget their sacrifices.
