The Gnome Tapestry
The Gnome Tapestry came about as a way to share the cartoons I have done since I did my very first “Gnomestead Tapestry” cartoon “Siege” in 1998. Most have not been published in any media other than a few of my private blogs and occasionally places like Facebook.
I have done a number of stories in The Gnomestead Tapestry and gone on to place them into narrated – slide-shows on YouTube in an MP4 format, The format seems to suit the style well.
I will soon publish (November 12) the first in what I hope to be a series of cartoons for young children. They seem to like the graphics and colour so it seemed natural. I have planned it a while but finally had the chance to actually do it. I started the “1, 2, 3, The Tapestry I See!” series with “1, 2, 3, The Tapestry I See!”. More will follow all with “”1, 2, 3, The Tapestry I See!” on the title frame.
Please remember to check for suitability before reading the stories to children or allowing them to read them.
I have gone on to produce the “Wheel Tales of Willow City” strip lately which is a bit more traditional in format; and “Space Trek” a Science Fiction/Space Opera spoof making a bit of fun of the genre and different movies and series.
“The Gnomestead Tapestry” “1, 2, 3, The Tapestry I See!” “Wheel Tales of Willow City” and “Space Trek” will be showcased in “The Gnome Tapestry”. There will probably be a few others in future.
For the moment they are all in the same style. Perhaps I shall develop a different site if I do work in a different style.
